Inspired by the iconic ice flow that forms along Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore (HMR), this was the feature piece for my time as the Artist On Ice for the Michigan Ice Festival, 2024. This specific scene is referenced from the Michigan Ice Film, a film by Aaron Peterson featuring ice climbing in Munising, MI. The intensity of the scene captured my imagination when I was first getting into ice climbing, and has remained an inspiration ever since!
